UHS TSA Members Take on Nationals in Nashville!
Over the past five days, 20 incredible students from University High School took on the challenge of the 2025 National TSA Conference in Nashville, TN! These Hawks traveled to Music City to compete against more than 8,000 students from across the U.S., Germany, and Turkey in events such as Architectural Design, Children’s Stories, Structural Design, Biotechnology, and many more.
Although they return without a trophy, they bring home something even more meaningful—pride, integrity, and the true winning spirit of UHS that carried them all the way to Nationals.
Throughout the experience, they also gained valuable skills in collaboration, leadership, and, of course, learned how to unwind in style.
We are incredibly proud of their efforts and the way they represented our school, Monongalia County Schools and West Virginia! Way to go, Hawks! 🦅🎉💛❤️

THANK YOU, HEIDI METHENY!
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Heidi Metheny for her incredible dedication and hard work in helping bring the vision of a new Sports Complex at University High School to life. Heidi has spent countless hours planning, advocating, and communicating with stakeholders to secure funding and build a space that will benefit generations of Hawks to come.
Her commitment to our school and community has been truly inspiring. Because of her efforts—and the support of a dedicated committee—our student-athletes are one step closer to having a facility that matches their passion and drive.
We’ve noticed that many individuals have expressed interest in contributing to this exciting project. If you’d like to learn more or get involved, please reach out to Heidi through the official website:

To: Bruceton Parents and Students
From: UHS and the Transportation Department
We have been asked to move the current bus stop location from the parking lot at the Bruceton Brandonville VFD due to upcoming obligations they have for the parking lot. So, starting Monday, February 24, 2025, the new bus stop location will be at the Bruceton Dam. Parents may park in the gravel lot at the dam or along the street from the parking lot entrance towards the red roof pavilion below the parking lot. The bus will stop on the street at the entrance of the parking lot. Please use these areas to park so as not to take parking away from the local businesses. Also, if students drive and park to catch the bus, they must look for somewhere to park their vehicles during the day. This will be the stop location for the remainder of this school year. See the attached map for additional information
