Principal's Message

Eastwood is a Responsive Classroom school with a focus on student-centered literacy, targeted math, and Being a Writer. We use our Gold LEED-certifed building as an instructional tool for Sustainability and Environmental Education. Our mission is Growing Healthy Kids in a Healthy World.  At Eastwood:

We believe in fostering the whole child; including academics, social and emotional mindsets, and behaviors.

We create a loving, caring, & supportive community because all students and adults need connections.

We consistently teach and model expected behaviors and implement logical consequences.

We empower students and teachers to take risks and learn and grow from mistakes.

We are responsible for supporting all students in an environment that encourages safety and respect for themselves and others.

We partner with our community to promote positive change and sustainability through authentic learning experiences.

We extend our classrooms beyond the walls of our school, as we develop an appreciation of nature and the world around us

Always Proud to be a Black Bear!
